Donald Trump, the former United States President, hinted at another run for the top office in 2024 in his Thanksgiving message on Thursday. “We will be great again”, he said while touting his slogan about making America great again.
The statement read, “A very interesting time in our Country, but do not worry, we will be great again—and we will all do it together,” Trump said in a statement that played off his campaign slogan “Make America Great Again”, according to reports from New York Post.
The former President, a member of the Republican party, added, “America will never fail, and we will never allow it to go in the wrong direction. Too many generations of greatness are counting on us. Enjoy your Thanksgiving knowing that a wonderful future lies ahead.”
Trump was forced to leave the White House earlier this year in January after then Joe Biden beat the incumbent by 7 million votes across the country.
However, Michael Cohen, the former attorney of Trump said in a statement recently that he would not win if he decides to run for office again. Cohen said Monday that his three-year prison sentence was over as he took another swipe at his former boss and vowed to continue cooperating with law enforcement probes.
“His fragile ego cannot stand to be considered a two-time loser,” Cohen said on Monday, according to media reports.
Meanwhile, a flurry of Trump’s associates and allies have been in the crosshairs of the January 6 committee of the United States House of Representatives.
The committee has already interviewed more than 150 people across government, social media and law enforcement, including some former Trump aides who have been cooperative. The panel has subpoenaed more than 20 witnesses, and most of them, including several associates who helped plan the massive “Stop the Steal” rally the morning of Jan. 6, have signaled they will cooperate.
