Los Angeles
Lakers star LeBron James will miss the game against the San Antonio Spurs on
Tuesday due to an ankle injury. James had a sore ankle and was questionable to
play against the Spurs.

The
36-year-old James has played all three games of the Lakers this season. It is
his 19th season in the NBA and he has averaged
26 points per game. He has 6.3 rebounds per game and 5.3 assists in this
NBA 2021-22 season.

James’
ankle was fallen on during Sunday night’s win over the Memphis Grizzlies. It
was a flashback to last season when a similar incident took place, costing
James almost the entire second half of the regular season. He finished the game
though, earning the first victory for the Lakers this season.

“The
first thing I was thinking to myself was, ‘Not again. Because obviously, it was
almost similar but not the same kind of play. Guy falls into my leg and there’s
nothing you can do about it and I couldn’t get my leg out of there in time,”
James said, according to CBS Sports

“Just
wanted to take a moment on the floor, just hope it wasn’t getting worse. Had an
opportunity just to tie my shoe again and see if I’m able to go, I was able to
continue to go,” James added.

James had
said after the game that his status for Tuesday would be uncertain as he was
unsure how his ankle would respond the following day.

While the
Lakers will miss LeBron against the Spurs, the positive news for the team is
that this doesn’t seem like it will be any sort of serious, long-term problem.
