Spanish teenage sensation Carlos Alcaraz scripted history on September 10, when he beat American star Frances Tiafoe in the semifinal of the US Open 2022 and qualified for the final. The win also helped him to become the second youngest player since 1990 to qualify for the US Open final, also the youngest player to qualify for a Grand Slam final since Rafael Nadal in 2005.

The 19-year-old has displayed an impressive performance this year. He defeated American Frances Tiafoe 6(6)-7(8), 6-3, 6-1, 6(5)-7(7), 6-3 and will now face Norwegian star Casper Ruud in the final. While his sporting merits have been documented well in the last few years, Alcaraz has kept his personal life much secretive, including his alleged girlfriend Maria Gonzalez Gimenez.

Who is Maria Gonzalez Gimenez, Carlos Alcaraz’s alleged girlfriend?

Maria was reportedly born in Murcia, Spain and is allegedly the girlfriend of US Open finalist Carlos Alcaraz. However, not much information regarding her is available in public as Maria is also secretive about her personal life and alleged relationship with Alcaraz.

Tennis Tonic recently shared a screenshot of an Instagram story posted by Carlos Alcaraz, which showed the teenager kissing Maria on the forehead.

According to several reports, Carlos Alcaraz shares his love for tennis with Maria, who is also a tennis player and plays for Murcia Club de Tenis in Spain. Maria has also written about it on her Instagram bio, which reads ‘MCT’, in short for Murcia Club de Tenis, along with a tennis racquet and ball.

Along with Carlos Alcaraz, Maria’s Instagram followers have increased in the last few years. While her Instagram followers were 2,899 a couple of months ago, it is currently 6,988.
