Charles, the former Duke of Edinburg, was officially proclaimed the new monarch of England on Saturday. The 73-year-old was coronated at an official ceremony held at Buckingham palace and he succeeded Queen Elizabeth II after she died on Thursday due to age-related illnesses.

He will be known as King Charles III and will be the ruler of the United Kingdom and the commonwealth countries. According to tradition, Charles III will remain the King of Britain till his death.

After the reign of Charles III is over, William, his eldest son with the late Diana, the former Princess of Wales, will take over the English throne after the death of his father, King Charles III. William is currently the Duke of Cambridge and is married to Catherine, who is now serving as the Duchess of Cornwall and Cambridge. 

Prince William will be replaced on the throne by his eldest son Prince George. His daughter, Princess Charlotte, and his other son Prince Louis are next in line to succeed to the throne of the UK and the commonwealths. 

In the event that Prince William or his children fail to succeed his father to the throne of UK, his brother Prince Harry will be next in line to the throne. After him, his children Archie Harrison and Lilibet Diana are in the line to take over the throne of England.

After Prince Harry and his bloodline, the next possible king of UK is Prince Andrew, the Duke of York. He will be followed by his daughter Princess Beatrice as a possible heir to the throne. Her daughter, Sienna Elizabeth, will also have the chance to succeed her. 

As king Charles takes over the throne, his divorced wife Camilla will be known as the queen consort, as per the wishes of Queen Elizabeth II.
