Eric Weinberg, the television producer behind medical sitcom, Scrubs, has been charged with 18 counts of sexually harassing five women between 2014 and 2019, Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón announced on Wednesday.
He is currently out of custody after posting a $5 million bond.
The 65-year-old has been charged with three counts of forcible rape, two counts of sexual battery by restraint, six counts of sexual penetration by use of force, one count each of assault by means of force likely to cause great bodily injury, attempted sexual penetration by use of force and false imprisonment by violence and four counts of oral copulation.

Who is Eric Weinberg?
Eric Weinberg is an American TV producer who is best known for being the executive producer of Scrubs, which ran from 2001 to 2010. He is also a screen writer.

During his time at Scrubs, he served as the co-executive producer of over 100 episodes of the show and has been credited as the supervising producer and writer for an additional 20 episodes since 2001, the year the show started.
Weinberg has been nominated for five Primetime Emmy Awards. Two for the crew of Scrubs and three for Politically Incorrect (another show he’s written and produced for).
He has also written and produced episodes for TV shows like Californication, Graves and Veronica’s Closet.

Weinberg was arrested earlier this year in July on for a series of sex crimes from between 2012 to 2019, Deadline reported. He was arrested by the Los Angeles Police Department from his Los Feliz residence. However, he soon posted bail, by paying a bon of $3.225 million.

At the time, the LAPD had said that Weinberg would single out women in their 20s and 30s and try to convince them that he was a photographer in need of a model for a photoshoot. If they agreed, he would assault them during the “photoshoot” session at his home.
