In a “manifesto” recovered by the police from the cellphone of Andre Bing, the Chesapeake, Virginia Walmart gunman, who shot and killed six and injured several others just a few days before Thanksgiving, the shooter laid out his motive for the mass shooting.

According to a law enforcement source, Bing was “upset” about a recent change in employment status and complained that he was being “harassed” by fellow employees.

“I was harassed by idiots with low intelligence and a lack of wisdom I remained strong through most of the torment but my dignity was completely taken away beyond repair by my phone getting hacked,” the note said. 

In the note, he accused his coworkers of laughing at him and comparing him to Jeffrey Dahmer, the infamous cannibal serial killer.

“My true intent was never to murder anyone believe it or not, I was actually one of the most loving people in the world if you would get to know me,” the manifesto read. “I just wanted a wife that was equally yoked as I and obsessed over the thought, however, I didn’t deserve a wife. I hope that people will learn from everyones mistakes and truly love God and not the material possessions of the world.”

Bing claimed in the note that his “intent was never murder” but suggested that he finally snapped after he believed  his phone was allegedly hacked. “My dignity taken away beyond repair by my phone getting hacked,” he wrote.

Bing also apologised to God, saying “I’ve failed you” and “this was not your fault but my own.”

“I failed to listen to the groans of the holy spirit which made me a poor representation of You,” the note read, adding that his “only wish would have been to start over from scratch and that my parents would have paid closer attention to my social deficits.”

“Sorry everyone but I did not plan this!” it said. It mentioned that “things just fell in place like I was led by the Satan.”

A former coworker also said he was paranoid about the government watching him and did not like being recorded.
