US Rep. Lauren Boebert shared a video on Twitter asking Ukraine to send the United States audit report of where they are spending the billions of dollars being sent to the country in aid after she attended President Volodymyr Zelensky’s speech at the US Congress on the latter’s first state visit since the Russian invasion began in February 2022.
In the video, Boebert said, “Here’s what’s clear from tonight…the people of Ukraine are suffering, the war is deadly and horrific, and the carnage has not stopped”.

She went on to add, “Sadly what I didn’t hear tonight was a clear explanation of where the first $50 billion we sent to support their efforts went”. “Until Congress receives a full audit on where our money has already gone, I will not support sending additional money to this war”.
Boebert went on to say that while Zelensky is working to secure his country and its border for his people, Biden should do the same here and secure the US’ southern border.

Boebert has often been critical of the US sending billions in aid to Ukraine. Earlier, when Zelensky and his wife Olena Zelenska were featured on the cover of Vogue magazine, the 36-year-old Republican had lashed out against them on Twitter, saying, “While we send Ukraine $60 billion in aid Zelenskyy is doing photoshoots for Vogue Magazine. These people think we are nothing but a bunch of suckers.”
