Diamond’s death linked to COVID-19 vaccine? Silk’s speech at memorial cause confusion

With the death of Lynette Hardaway, also known as Diamond in the pairing Diamond and Silk, on January 8, confusion has risen as to whether the duo was vaccinated. The pro-Trump Republicans had openly campaigned against president Joe Biden’s vaccine policy which led to many believing that the Covid 19 vaccine had a role to play in Diamond’s death. 

There is no connection between vaccination and her death as per official records and the status of her vaccination is also not known. Based on how her sister Silk, or Herneitha Rochelle Richardson, described her death at a memorial service held in their hometown in Fayetteville, North Carolina, many now think that she died of acute respiratory issues – leading to a lot of confusion that it was because of the vaccine.

How did Silk describe Diamond’s death?

“As soon as Diamond hung up the phone, she said to me: ‘I can’t breathe’,” Silk said at the January 17 memorial service. “It was suddenly, out of nowhere, and [with] no warning. I got her to the kitchen table, opened up the back door, so that she could get some air. And each breath was less, and less, and less.”

Despite Silk’s denial to attribute her death to respiratory problems, Newsweek says that the description ‘appears consistent with a death from respiratory issues. Although Silk did not make a direct connection between her death and vaccination, she seemed to suggest – in line with the anti-vaxxer catchphrases, that her sister’s death has something to do with vaccines.

“Don’t you dare call me a conspiracy theorist, because I saw it happen,” she continued. “I saw how it happened. I was there when it happened, and it happened suddenly. I want America to wake up and pay attention. Something ain’t right. It’s time to investigate what’s really going on here, and give some answers to why people are falling dead suddenly.”
