Lynette Hardaway a.k.a Diamond of the pro-Trump entertainers Diamond and Silk died at the age of 51, the sisters’ Twitter account announced on Monday. The news was also confirmed by former President Donald Trump. 

“The World just lost a True Angel and Warrior Patriot for Freedom, Love, and Humanity! Please respect the privacy of Diamond’s family! Memorial Ceremony TBA,” the entertainers’ official Twitter account tweeted with a link to a GoFundMe page to make contributions.

Although her cause of death has not been revealed, she was reportedly hospitalized with Covid around Thanksgiving. However, it is not yet clear if the virus played any role in her passing.  

Was Diamond vaccinated?

Diamond and Silk were famous for pushing anti-vaxxer talk and covid misinformation through their social media platforms — something that also got them fired from Fox News.

In November 2022, the duo’s Twitter handle asked their followers to pray for Hardaway’s recovery after she was hospitalized with respiratory illness.

The duo never specified what she was suffering from. She returned to her show the following month and rubbished online speculations that she was in the hospital because of coronavirus. At the time, they dubbed it “fake news.”

Twitter users speculated Covid to be her cause of death

Multiple users speculated that Hardaway’s refusal to take the Covid vaccine might have played a role in her death.

“This is really sad.

Lynnette Hardaway aka Diamond passes from COVID.

If you are against the vaccine, please take other precautions.

COVID is here to stay. It’s the new flu. RIP Diamond,” one of them said, while another wrote, “Lynette Hardaway, aka ‘Diamond’ from the MAGA Trump supporting duo Diamond and Silk, died from contracting what she called ‘a hoax’ better known as COVID-19. The irony is palpable.”

A third commented, “MAGA / anti-vaxxer “Diamond,” of Diamond and Silk, has died…of Covid. Please people, protect yourselves and get vaccinated. Covid is still killing 2,000 Americans a week. Because people ignore it, does not mean it has gone away.” Another wrote, “They don’t want to tell you what Diamond died of because it was COVID.” 

One user noted: “Diamond and Silk were fired from Fox News for pushing COVID conspiracies and tonight, Diamond died from COVID. It just writes itself, doesn’t it?”
