Never Have I Ever season 2 is finally out on Netflix. The hit series is created by Mindy Kaling and Lang Fisher that follows an Indian-American teen Devi Vishwakumar as she navigates high school, relationships, and drama.

In season 2 we see Devi caught midst of a love triangle between her crush Paxton Hall-Yoshida and former nemesis, Ben Gross. The series has introduced several new characters this season including Eleanor’s new love interest, Malcolm, and new girl Aneesa. The new girl is played by Megan Suri. In the trailer of season 2, we see Aneesa introduce herself to the class with much confidence. Not only that, but she also bonds with Devi’s English teacher, Mr. Kulkarni, and impresses Devi’s mom and grandma with her manners. 

Aneesa is a Soccer player. When she first meets Mr. Kulkarni he compliments her skills on the soccer field. He says, “I saw you at the state finals last year. Girl, you’re like a little Megan Rapinoe,” before asking her to join Oaks’ team, which he coaches. Apart from that, the new girl also shared that she plays defense while introducing herself to her class on the first day.

Aneesa reveals she transferred to Sherman Oaks from a Private School when Devi asks her why she left her Toluca Prep. Aneesa opens up about the drama that tends to go down with “rich private school girls. However, later we see that both Devi and Aneesa bond over their similarities and upbringings.
