Shehnaaz Gill pays nostalgic tribute to Sidharth Shukla in ‘Tu Yaheen Hai’

Actor-singer Shehnaaz Gill has paid a sombre tribute to her late rumoured boyfriend Sidharth Shukla in a new music video ‘Tu Yaheen Hai’ (You are here). Shukla, best known for his role in the hit TV show ‘Balika Vadhu’, died of cardiac arrest at the age of 40 on September 2. Shukla was also the winner of Bigg Boss 13, where he first met Gill, who ended up as finalist on the reality show.
‘Tu Yaheen Hai’, which had last racked up over 3.6 millions since its debut on YouTube on Thursday, features several of Shukla’s appearances from Bigg Boss 13. “Love and strength to you Shehnaaz,” read one of the thousands of comments appreciating ‘Tu Yaheen Hai.’

While Gill has lent her voice to ‘Tu Yaheen Hai,’ the lyrics have been penned by Raj Ranjodh. The music video shows Shehnaaz in a nostalgic mood, remembering her moments from Bigg Boss with Shukla. At one point, Sidharth wipes off her tears and calls out her name, “Sana.”
The video also features a clip from Gill and Shukla’s joint appearance on a TV show.

Shukla made his small screen debut with a lead role in the television show ‘Babul Ka Aangann Chootey Na’ on Sony TV opposite Aastha Chaudhary. After appearances in shows like ‘Jaane Pehchaane Se… Ye Ajnabb’i’ and ‘Love U Zindagi’, Shukla earned widespread recognition with his breakthrough role in 2012 with ‘Balika Vadhu’. He made his Bollywood debut in 2014 with romantic comedy ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania.’

Gill recently touched on the topic on love for the first since Shukla’s death, ahead of the release of her Punjabi movie ‘Honsla Rakh.’
“When we love someone, the emotional attachment we share with the person, with that attachment, I accordingly calculated the ratio,” she was quoted as saying in an interview with Bollywood Bubble.
