His portrayal of the Duke of Edinburgh was one of the most recent to be seen across the world before Prince Philip sadly passed away earlier this year at Windsor Castle. He further communicated that he did his best to get close and try and understand his character and bring him to screen. But, however it is fundamentally a very difficult thing. He said, u201cThe man and his life, which was a very long and very varied and rather extraordinary lifeu2014a small bit of which we try to, you know, bring to life in our show.u201d.
