Vikram Vedha is a high-budget film, with a staggering budget of Rs 175 Cr, but the revenue from advance booking has not been very impressive. The advance bookings for it had opened fairly recently, and as of Wednesday morning, it sold 45,000 tickets overall, generating revenue of 1 crore.

Vikram Vedha is directed by Pushkar-Gayathri, and is all set to release on 30th September 2022. Starring Hrithik Roshan, Saif Ali Khan, Radhika Apte and Rohit Saraf, the film centres around a tough but honest police officer, Vikram (played by Khan), who seeks to arrest Vedha (played by Roshan), a gangster.

Vikram Vedha is a remake of the film by the same name, from the same directors, which was released in 2017. It starred R. Madhavan, Vijay Sethupathi and Shraddha Srinath in the lead roles.

It is expected to close with a collection of around 3.75 cr solely on advance ticket bookings. The collection is better than Shamshera and Jugjugg Jeeyo, but slightly lower than Laal Singh Chaddha. The producers expect it to sell around 75,000 tickets in the top three multiplexes- PVR, Inox and Cineplex. Hyderabad is showing a good booking rate so far.  Several other pockets in the country are showing a good response as well.

According to The Indian Express, Vikram Vedha is expected to earn a revenue of Rs 15 crore on its first day of release this Friday, which would be the second-highest opening of the year. It would be slightly ahead of Bhool Bhulaiya 2, which made Rs 14.11 cr on its opening day.  Reliance Entertainment is gearing up for its worldwide release and it is likely to debut on 4000 screens in India itself. The production has also confirmed a worldwide release in around 100 countries.

Despite a very positive reaction on the film’s trailer, the response has not been very reflective of that. It might pick up pace later on due to on spot reservations and word of mouth marketing, as predicted by several sources. These factors will be a major determinant for the film’s success.
