Dilip Vengsarkar, former Indian cricketer has asked BCCI chief Sourav Ganguly an important question. What will team India do in a 45 days break between the World Test Championship finale that will conclude on June 22 and the England Test series, which is scheduled to begin from August 2.

“What is Team India going to do in the one-and-a-half months gap? I am surprised by the scheduling. I don’t understand what kind of a tour is being organised? How can you have a Test match now and you don’t have any cricket for one-and-a-half months, and then you play the Test series,” Vengsarkar told News 18.

Citing Pakistan and Sri Lanka tours of England as examples, Vengsarkar questioned as to what kind of tournament is scheduled with one and a half month gap in between. He asked BCCI the reason behind such a schedule.
