India cricket team captain Virat Kohli, on Saturday, held a question-and-answer session on Instagram. During the session, he answered questions posed to him by his fans on various topics, ranging from his diet, Vamika, anxiety, the Indian cricket team and more. Kohli also shared a picture from his childhood – that is unmissable.

When one of the fans asked, “What is the meaning of Vamika, how is she? Can we see a glimpse of her please?”

To which, the right-handed batsman replied, “Vamika is another name for goddess Durga. No, we have decided as a couple to not expose our child to social media before she has an understanding of what social media is and can make her own choice.”

Anushka and Kohli’s daughter Vamika was born on January 11, 2021. The Bollywood actors announced the news in a social media post. “We have lived together with love, presence and gratitude as a way of life but this little one, Vamika has taken it to a whole new level! Tears, laughter, worry, bliss – emotions that have been experienced in a span of minutes sometimes! Sleep is elusive but our hearts are SO full Thanking you all for your wishes, prayers and good energy (sic),” the post read.

The Indian cricket team captain and the Bollywood actor married in a private ceremony in Tuscany, Italy, in December 2017.

He answered questions about his diet, as well. This is what his diet looks like: “Lots of vegetables, some eggs, 2 cups of coffee, dal, quinoa, lots of spinach, love dosas, too.” However, he did mention that the intakes are in controlled quantities.

He further added that he likes Indian foods which are simply cooked and sometimes indulges in Chinese, too. “Almonds, protein bar and fruits” are also included in his diet.

When asked how a person can deal with anxiety, he said, “Be focussed on things that are important and try to have belief in the greater good. Believe something good can happen at any time.”

Apart from all these, what stood out was a picture of his childhood.

Kohli, who is currently in Mumbai, in quarantine, will fly to England with the rest of the squad for a two-month tour. The tour included five Tests against England and the very important World Test Championship final.

India will take on New Zealand for the WTC at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton from June 18.
