Veteran Indian batsman Cheteshwar Pujara on Saturday shared a picture of
himself wearing India’s kit for the upcoming World Test Championship final
against New Zealand, underlining how eager he was to get on the field. India
will be taking to the field wearing the retro jersey in the WTC final set to get
underway on June 18, 2021, reported ANI.

Having posted a picture of himself wearing the new jersey in his story,
Pujara wrote, “The new kit is here! Can’t wait to get on the field!
#worldtestchampionship”.

The Indian cricket team is currently in quarantine in the UK, but is
nonetheless undergoing training to ensure fitness before the Test match in Southampton
commences.

The BCCI has ensured vaccination for the players under the UK health department’s
guidance.

“The team has already taken the first dose here after the
government opened the vaccination process for all above 18. The second dose
will be administered by the UK health department once the players are eligible
to get the second jab as per rules,” ANI quoted BCCI sources as saying.

The squad has already quarantined for two weeks in Mumbai before
making their trip abroad.

WTC opponents New Zealand, on the other hand, are already in the UK
ahead of their Test series against England, and will make a shift from the
England Cricket Board (ECB)-provided bio bubble to the World Test Championship
bio-bubble on June 15.
