Lucknow Super Giants won the toss and elected to bowl first against Delhi Capitals in the 15th match of the 2022 Indian Premier League in Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium on Friday.
KL Rahul-led LSG, who won their last two matches against Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad respectively, are looking to continue their winning streak.
Rishab Pant-led Capitals, on the other hand, started the season on a high by defeating Mumbai Indians in their opening game. The side, however, faced a 14-run loss to Gujarat Titans in their second match.
The availability of leading batter David Warner and speedster Anrich Nortje for Capitals and the dependable Marcus Stoinis for Lucknow will certainly add to the depth of the playing XIs and bolster the competitive edge.
“David Warner is out of quarantine, so he’s definitely available for selection for the next game, which is very exciting. Anrich Nortje has been going incredibly well over the last couple of weeks, since he’s arrived here in India. And he has passed his fitness test to be available for selection,” said Capitals assistant coach Shane Watson on the eve of the game.
