Sidhu Moosewala‘s new song ‘Vaar’ was released on the late rapper’s YouTube channel on Tuesday. It is based on the Sikh warrior Hari Singh Nalwa. 

Moosewala, a singer and politician, was shot dead on May 29, 2022 in Punjab. His last song SYL, released days after the 28-year-old’s death, was banned from YouTube. It had racked more than 25 million views.

Sidhu Moosewala’s social media team on Monday shared the poster of Vaar, saying it will drop on Tuesday at 10:00 AM IST.

“We all carry, inside us, people who came before us. Dropping Nov/8 10:00 AM IST.” On Tuesday, while releasing the song, they wrote, “Until the lions have their own historians, the history of the hunt will always glorify the hunter. Vaar Playing Now..!” the post read.

“Until the lions have their own historians, the history of the hunt will always glorify the hunter. Vaar Playing Now..!” the team said on Tuesday, announcing the release.

The video was viewed more than 2.2 million times within the first hour of release. More than 700 thousand people liked it. 

“Thanks to his parents, we are blessed to hear his music and feel his existence around us. Please don’t leak his songs so we can hear them produced in a proper manner,” a Twitter user said.

“Difficult to believe Sidhu is no more with us physically,” a second one said.

“His voice is iconic and always be remembered,” a third one tweeted. 

 Hari Singh Nalwa was Chief of Army Staff during Maharaj Ranjit Singh’s reign. He led many wars against Afghans and Pathans and emerged victorious. He was given the title of bravest and best fighters of the coundtry. He was known as ‘Bagh Maar’ (killer of tiger).
