‘You’re living the dream’: Trevor Noah’s sarcastic dig at Britishers with racist remarks on Rishi Sunak
- Rishi Sunak was appointed as the new British PM on Tuesday, October 25
- His appointment has received racist remarks from some citizens
- Comedian Trevor Noah had a hilarious response to those racist remarks
Rishi Sunak’s appointment as the new British Prime Minister was met with applause around the country. However, while the majority of citizens congratulated the 42-year-old, some racist remarks were also directed at the new UK PM, who also became the first Asian-origin person to hold the office.
However, popular comedian Trevor Noah has come up with a hilarious response to the racist remarks against Rishi Sunak, who is the first-ever non-white person to become the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.

Noah, who is the host of popular american program named The Daily Show on Comedy Central, said the 42-year-old PM has the potential to “serve well into his 42-and-a-halves”.
Noah also made another joke about the newly appointed Prime Minister, terming him a “snack”.
“Let’s not forget another important first. He is also the first prime minister who is an absolute snack,” Noah said on The Daily Show.
The 38-year-old also added that not all UK citizens were happy after Sunak became the Prime Minister. He went on to play a footage from a British radio show where a person on a call said why a non-white person becoming the UK PM is not good.
“Can you imagine me becoming Prime Minister of Pakistan? People of England would like to see someone who looks like them,” the caller in the video said.
This resulted in Trevor Noah taking a sarcastic dig at the caller, saying, “This is a good point. Can you imagine white English people trying to rule countries where no one looks like them!”
The British Empire ruled over a huge part of the world even less than a century ago and India, where Rishi Sunak’s ancestors are from, was one of the countries under their rule.

Meanwhile, Noah went on to add that the British citizens are taking the appointment of Sunak in the wrong way and the 42-year-old becoming the new Prime Minister of the country is rather good for them, in another sarcastic swipe.
“This could be a good thing for you people. After 400 years, you finally get to legitimately blame a brown person for your country’s problems. You’re living the dream!” Noah said.
Sunak is the third Prime Minister of the United Kingdom in 2022, following Boris Johnson and Liz Truss.
