Arshdeep Singh strikes twice in one over, dismisses South Africa’s Temba Bavuma, Rilee Rossouw: Watch

Arshdeep Singh started brilliantly for India in the second innings as he sent two South African batters for a duck in the second over of the innings. He first sent Temba Bavuma for a duck in the second ball. This was the second time in the series where Singh sent the Proteas skipper for a duck in the first over. The fast bowler then sent struck again in the fourth ball. This time, he sent Rilee Rossouw for a duck, after the batter edged a short ball to mid wicket.

Then, the game was again interrupted as one of the floodlight lost its power. It was the second time that the came was halted, after a snake entered the ground in the first innings.
In the first innings, South Africa asked India to batt first. KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma came out swinging and gave India a great start. KL Rahul was particularly aggresive in his shot making, striking Kagiso Rabada for a boundary on the very first ball of the innings. With five fours and a six, Rohit Sharma was also on fire as India concluded with 57 in the powerplay.

After the powerplay ended, the Indian duo continued their intensity, with Rahul hitting Andre Nortje for a six. Keshav Maharaj, however, was the one to break the partnership and send Rohit Sharma back to the pavilion for 43. KL Rahul soon followed his suit, as India was reduced to 107/2 from 96/0.
The visitors however had another thing coming, as Suryakumar Yadav came out all guns blazing. He hit a four to welcome Keshav Maharaj. In the 15th over, he then hit Andre Nortje for two sixes and two fours.

He hit a six against Wayne Parnell to get to his 18-ball fifty. Their 102-run partnership for the third wicket ended when an unfortunate run out caused him to be sent back to the pavilion. However, Dinesh Kartik’s seven-ball blitz was enough for India to achieve 237, their highest total against South Africa.
