After the
20th over of the Rajasthan Royals‘ (RR) innings against Royal Challengers
Bangalore (RCB) in the Indian Premier League on Tuesday, Riyan Parag and
Harshal Patel appeared to get into a serious altercation. Harshal delivered the
final over of the innings, during which Parag smashed a four and two sixes, one
of which came off the final ball.

Parag
finished the over with a six over cow corner, giving him a total of 18 runs off
it. The RR batter finished the innings undefeated on 56 runs off 31 pitches and
appeared to be strolling off the field at first. He then turned around and
began arguing angrily with Harshal Patel, who was being held back by a member
of the RR support crew.

The topic of
the debate was obscured since the host broadcasters switched to commercials
almost as soon as images of the exchange surfaced. The transmission, however,
remained for a few seconds longer in the Hindi broadcast. As they walked away
from the field, a few players from both sides exchanged remarks.

On Tuesday,
the Rajasthan Royals batted first and scored 144 for 8. To suffocate the
Royals’ batting line-up, Josh Hazlewood (2/19), Wanindu Hasaranga de Silva
(2/23) and Mohammed Siraj (2/30) each took two wickets. With his undefeated
half-century, Parag scored his highest score in the IPL. During his knock, he hit three boundaries and four sixes.
With his undefeated half-century, he was RR’s lone bright point.

Despite
losing IPL 2022 Orange Cap holder Jos Buttler and his opening partner Devdutt
Padikkal early in the game, the Rajasthan Royals set a goal of 145 runs against
the Royal Challengers Bangalore thanks to an excellent fifty from Riyan Parag.

Aside from Pirag, just three RR batters reached double figures. Ravichandran Ashwin, skipper Sanju Samson, and Daryl Mitchell each scored 17, 27, and 16 runs. Despite the fact that the majority of the RCB bowlers had a good day with the ball, the duo of Wanindu Hasaranga and Josh Hazlewood were the pick of the bunch, as both not only picked up two wickets each, but also had an economy of less than six.
