Jefferson and Thielen have been friends for long. In 2020, when he was a rookie, Jefferson in a podcast “All Things Covered with Patrick Peterson and Bryant McFadden,” explained why he makes a better duo with Adam Thielen than Stefon Diggs. When the star wide receiver was asked if he and Thielen made a more dynamic pairing than Diggs and Thielen, Jefferson responded without hesitation, saying ‘yes’.

In the Week 5 meeting between the old NFC North rivals, Chicago Bears (2-2) travel to Chicago to face the Minnesota Vikings (3-1). The Vikings have won two straight games after defeating the New Orleans Saints 28-25 in London, while the Bears are coming off a disheartening 20-12 loss to the New York Giants in Week 4. The overall series has been won by Minnesota 63-57-2.

The Minnesota Vikings’ decision to forgo taking a bye week after a brief week in London may work in the Bears’ favour. Running back David Montgomery might also finally return back from injury.

Minnesota Vikings’ QB Kirk Cousins has thrown for the sixth-most passes in the NFL after four weeks. He will be a credible threat to a below average Chicago Bear’s defence.
