TV personality Colin Cowherd referenced Dwayne Haskins during a segment of his show when he discussed NFL quarterbacks selected since 2013 who he believes are ineligible to win a Super Bowl.

Who is Colin Cowherd?

Colin Murray Cowherd, born on January 6, 1964, is a well-known American sports media personality. He began his career in broadcasting as a sports director for a Las Vegas TV station and as a sports anchor for other stations. In addition to hosting a radio program and serving as one of the first TV hosts of SportsNation and Colin’s New Football Show, he joined ESPN in 2003. The Herd with Colin Cowherd is currently being hosted by him on Fox Sports Radio and Fox Sports 1.

He was born to his father, Charles, who worked as an optometrist, and his mother Patriciain in Aberdeen, Washington. Beginning his career, Cowherd provided play-by-play analysis for the San Diego Padres minor league baseball franchise, the Las Vegas Stars. Later, he served as a sports director at KVBC in Las Vegas, where he was five times named Nevada’s Sportscaster of the Year.

His departure from ESPN was made public on July 24, 2015. The network’s president, John Skipper, claimed that Cowherd’s tenure at ESPN had been mutually beneficial and that he had become well-known for his distinctive views on culture and sports.

Then, on August 12, 2015, word came down that Cowherd had inked a four-year deal with Fox Sports. On September 8, 2015, Fox Sports 1 began airing The Herd, his program, while Premiere Networks and Fox Sports Radio continued to carry it. Cowherd works in radio, television, and Fox NFL Kickoff, in addition to other media.
