Who is Quinn Jolly?

A woman charged in a Wisconsin case involving a brutal murder and dismemberment attacked her own lawyer during a court proceeding on Tuesday.

Taylor Schabusiness was sitting in a Brown County circuit court, when her lawyer, Quinn Jolly, requested an extra 2 weeks to allow a defense expert to examine his client’s capacity to stand trial.

Judge Thomas Walsh reluctantly agreed to postpone her March 6 trial. However, right then, Schabusiness attacked Jolly and was eventually wrestled to the courthouse floor by a deputy.  The session then commenced when the courtroom had been cleared.

Who is Quinn Jolly?

Quinn Jolly was the lawyer representing 25-year-old Taylor Schabusiness, who is accused of killing and dismembering her partner in February 2022. However, moments after a judge agreed to Schabusiness’s trial on Jolly’s request, Schabusiness attacked her own attorney.

Schabusiness lunged at Jolly during the trial on his mental capacity on February 14 and then hit him in the head with an elbow. She was swiftly subdued by the courtroom police, prompting Jolly to request a retraction from the case. Now, Quinn Jolly has reportedly withdrawn from the case officially.

Shad Thyrion, 25, was killed in February 2022, and for that, Schabusiness is accused of first-degree deliberate homicide, mutilating a corpse, and third-degree sexual assault. Police claim she sexually assaulted Thyrion, strangled him, then dismembered his body at a home in Green Bay, leaving pieces of him all over the house and in a car.

Schabusiness filed a not guilty plea and defense of not guilty due to a mental illness or defect. Her arrest is under a $2 million cash bond.
