Several firefighters battled flames Friday afternoon at the former Massachusetts home of a woman who hasn’t been seen since January 1. Heavy fire and smoke were seen at 725 Jerusalem Road in Cohasset. According to the officials, the current residents of the home were the ones who called 911 when the fire started.
According to 5 Investigates, this is the home where Ana Walshe lived until recently. The property was last sold on March 17, 2022, as per Zillow.

Cohasset Police Chief William Quigley confirmed the connection and said any possible connection between Walshe and disappearance and the fire will be investigated. “It’s a very strange coincidence,” Quigley said. “We have the fire marshal’s office and our detectives who will be assigned here to investigate this fire,” he said.
Walshe, 39, was last seen at her home in Cohasset by a family member. She was reported missing by her husband, who lives in Cohasset, and her employer, who is based in Washington DC, officials said.

Fire department officers worked for nearly an hour to control the fire. Most of their job had to be done from the exterior because of safety concerns, including the partial collapse of the roof. Three adults and a baby all escaped the home safely, officials said.
The State Police Special Emergency Response Team and a regional police team are searching an area close to Chief Justice Cushing Highway (Route 3A).

Earlier in the day, Quigley said “At this point, it is a missing person investigation. We are trying to locate Ana and get her home safely. We have nothing to support anything suspicious or criminal.”

A family member informed police Walshe was supposed to take a ride-share to the airport. However, officials confirmed with the airlines that Walshe did not board a plane this week. Walshe travels to work in Washington, where the family owns a townhome, officials said.
