NFL 2022: Top defenses in Week 8
- Week 8 began with a Thursday Night game between Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Baltimore Ravens
- New Orleans Saints were the best defensive side of the week
- Minnesota Vikings and Dallas Cowboys also made the list
It was a thrilling eighth week in the National Football League as it saw many exciting games that started with a Thursday Night encounter between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Baltimore Ravens.
The Ravens emerged victorious with a 27-22 score to win their first back-to-back games of the 2022 NFL season.
Many high-scoring matches happened during the week with the Dallas Cowboys vs Chicago Bears being the highest-point-scoring game.

Defenses also played a crucial part for some teams such as the San Francisco 49ers who claimed a big win against the Los Angeles Rams to get back to winning ways after they suffered a heavy loss against the Kansas City Chiefs last week.

1) New Orleans Saints
The Saints achieved a clean slate victory against a good offensive side in Las Vegas Raiders. The team scored 24 points but did not allow a single point against them. The Saints recorded four sacks and an interception in the match.
2) Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles were able to continue their unbeaten run as they faced a lowly Pittsburgh Steelers side, recording six sacks and an interception along with a fumble recovered in 35-13 win for the team. They are the only unbeaten team in NFL currently.

3) Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks puts brakes on the high-flying New York Giants, restricting the team to just 13 points as they let just 17 out of the 31 passes from Giants QB Daniel Jones. The team recorded five sacks to go with two fumbles recovered during the game.
4) Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys scored the most points of the week and also held their opponents, the Bears to 29 points, recording four sacks, a fumble recovered and a defensive TD in the game.
5) Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings continued their winning start to the season, securing a fifth consecutive victory against the Arizona Cardinals. The team had four sacks with two interceptions along with a fumble recovery in Week 8.
