Twitter users and 8 million followers of the journalist soon determined that the account was hacked and controlled seemingly by a group identifying themselves as the ‘chuckling squad.’

Morgan’s account name was changed multiple times, once changed to ‘lol’ and then ‘Michael.’ A tweet that was posted out caused shock when stated “f*** the queen.” Another post called pop singer Ed Sheehan a “ginger p***k,” and later a “ginger f***er.”

Reacting to the remarks, fans and followers appealed to Twitter to highlight that Morgan’s account had clearly been hacked. Some Twitter users also asked the hackers to access his Direct Messages to showcase the communications he had in the past with Meghan, Duchess of Sussex. However, the hackers responding to this said that there was “nothing interesting” within the private messages.

Later stars were also targeted as the hackers sent a public message to former Prime Minister Boris Johnson demanding he gets a haircut and branding him an “ugly bum.”

Tweets that had been sent were replaced with the statement, “This tweet is unavailable.” The account bio was also removed with images in his profile and the banner, bringing an end to the apparent hackers’ chaotic activities.
