After more than 23 years of marriage, Jim Belushi, the American actor has reportedly filed for divorce from his wife Jennifer Sloan.
According to TMZ, the actor, 67, filed the divorce papers in Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday.

The couple has started their divorce proceedings for the second time in just over three years.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Sloan previously filed for divorce on March 5, 2018, the 36th anniversary of the death of Belushi’s older brother John Belushi (The Saturday Night Live comic died from a drug overdose on March 5, 1982).

However, a little more than a year later, in May 2019, Belushi requested that the divorce be dismissed. Sparking off reconciliation, the dismissal came just days before the couple’s 21st wedding anniversary.
Belushi and Sloan married on May 2, 1998, after meeting in 1993 – although it is said that they didn’t hit it off right away.
“He kissed me on the forehead like I was his sister,” Sloan said of Belushi, who starred from 2001 to 2009 in the hit ABC series According to Jim. “He asked me to go rollerblading a few weeks later, and I liked him that day. He was real.”
The couple has two children together. Belushi also has a son from his previous marriage to Sandra Davenport, which lasted from 1980 until 1988. From 1990 until 1992, he was married to his second wife, Marjorie Bransfield.
