Aryan Khan, son of
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, was granted bail by the Bombay High Court
on Thursday. The 23-year-old star-kid who has been in prison for over three
weeks is expected to walk out of Mumbai’s Arthur Road Jail either Friday or
Saturday depending on when the paperwork goes through. While Justice Nitin Sambre,
the judge presiding of the single-judge bench hearing Aryan Khan’s case, did
grant bail to Khan on Thursday evening, the order was only released Friday.

According to the
Bombay High Court’s order, Aryan Khan will be released on bail subject to the
following conditions: Khan will have to furnish a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh;
furnish one or more surety; should not leave the country without the permission
of investigating officer; should not even leave Mumbai without permission;
should not indulge in activities similar to what he is charged with; should not
make any statement to media about the case; attend office of the Narcotics
Control Bureau (NCB) every Friday, reports Bar and Bench.

Meanwhile, jail
officials say Aryan Khan was very happy to receive news about getting bail and
also expressed his gratitude to the prison staff. The information was conveyed
to him at around 6 pm Thursday. Aryan Khan’s friend Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun
Dhamecha, the other co-accused were also granted bail on Thursday.

Aryan Khan was detained
on October 2 from a cruise off the Mumbai coast and was arrested on October 3
by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). A total of 20 people were arrested in
the case. Khan is expected to come out on Friday itself. As soon as bail was
announced, fans and celebrities breathed a sigh of relief. Many actors, including
R Madhavan and Sonu Sood, tweeted in support of the Aryan Khan.
