On Wednesday, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor held a private mehendi
ceremony. Only close family members and friends were allowed to attend the
tightly guarded event. Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Ranbir’s sister, and Karisma
Kapoor, Ranbir’s cousin, were among the family members who attended the
occasion. Kapoor and Sahni uploaded a photo and a video after the ceremony to
show off their mehendi creations.

Kapoor uploaded a close-up photo of the mehendi artwork on her
foot on her Instagram Stories. “I love Mehndi,” she wrote alongside a
heart emoticon. She wore a yellow anarkali outfit with a maangtika and
traditional jewellery to the wedding.

The mehendi brought Karisma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor together.
‘Bebo’ wore a white lehenga for the occasion. Neetu Kapoor arrived with her
granddaughter Samara and daughter Riddhima Kapoor. Armaan Jain, Ranbir’s
cousin, and Rima Jain, Ranbir’s aunt, were also seen.

Sahni also posted a short video on her Instagram Stories on
Thursday to show off her mehendi design.

Soni Razdan, the bride’s mother, arrived with her daughter Shaheen
Bhatt. Mahesh Bhatt arrived with Pooja Bhatt and was seen leaving the venue
with a mehendi decoration on his hand. The occasion was also attended by Karan
Johar, who launched Alia in Bollywood with Student of the Year and refers to
her as his “godchild.” Also present were Shweta Bachchan Nanda and
her daughter Navya Naveli Nanda.

A minor sangeet ceremony was reportedly held after the mehendi.
According to reports, musician Prateek Kuhad was present at the event and even
sang a few songs. The couple received a massive gold-plated bouquet from a
jeweller in Surat.

The paparazzi approached Neetu Kapoor and Riddhima Sahni after the
function and inquired about the wedding’s exact date. They have confirmed that
the wedding will be held on Thursday, April 14.
