The animated series Velma, which has been helmed by comedian Mindy Kaling, has been bashed by both fans and critics alike. Only two episodes of the series have dropped, but the strong reactions of fans against the same hints that the series might not have a long run.
The official synopsis of the series is “VELMA is an adult animated comedy series telling the origin story of Velma Dinkley, the unsung and under-appreciated brains of the Scooby-Doo Mystery Inc. gang. This original and humorous spin unmasks the complex and colorful past of one of America’s most beloved mystery solvers.”

Some Twitter users have pointed out problematic parts of the series. One user said, “Well, that was complete shit. Not the borscht I made, but Mindy Kaling & her even weirder, more perverse assistant’s take on #Velma. Why are you both so obsessed with the size of a teen boy’s penis? I feel like I watched #ScoobyDoo written by Ghislaine Maxwell & Jeff Epstein”.
Another user said, “Lol or we can admit Mindy Kaling just isn’t funny. Like at all.”
