The trailer for the last James Bond movie was launched on September 3 and with that, the excitement level of the audiences reached a new peak. However, the excitement for the film increased manifold when 18-year-old Billie Eilish dropped the official video of the theme song ‘No time to die’ on October 1. The video, shot in a black and white filter, shows how the movie will shape up to be, what to expect, and what not to expect. Albeit, yes, with many twists and turns.

Eilish, the youngest artist ever to write and perform a James Bond movie theme, co-wrote the song with her brother Finneas O’Connell, along with Stephen Lipson and orchestral arrangements by Hans Zimmer and Matt Dunkley, and guitar from Smiths co-founder Johnny Marr.

In the video, a hint is dropped that maybe, just maybe, Daniel Craig’s 007 character will be deceived by Lea Seydoux’s character.

The melodious tune of the song, coupled with action montages from the film, builds up to be a hauntingly beautiful affair. Among the other famous James Bond theme songs are Adele’s “Skyfall” and Sam Smith’s “Writing’s on the Wall”.

The audio of the song was released in February, keeping in mind that the film would release in April. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the release of the film was pushed to November.
