Academy Award-winning actor Jennifer Lawrence announced her first pregnancy with her husband Cooke Maroney, a representative for the 31-year-old actor, confirmed the news to People magazine on Wednesday. 

Lawrence and Maroney, who tied the knot on October 19, 2019, in Rhode Island were first linked in June 2018 and the couple was engaged the following February. This is going to be their first child together.

Lawrence and Maroney’s wedding reception was attended by celebrities including friends Adele, Amy Schumer, Kris Jenner and Emma Stone.

Jennifer Lawrence will next be seen in ‘Don’t Look Up.’ The teaser of the upcoming film was recently released. The film is written and directed by Adam McKay and carries a massive star cast which includes A-lister actors like Meryl Streep, Leonardo DiCaprio, Cate Blanchett, Timothee Chalamet, JonaMeryl Streep, Leonardo DiCaprio, Cate Blanchett, Timothee Chalamet, Jonh Hill, Ariana Grande, Tyler Perry, Ron Perlman and Kid Cudi.

Don’t Look Up is expected to hit selective theatres on December 10 after which it will stream on Netflix from December 24.

About Lawrence and Marooney’s relationship, the former on a podcast show NAKED With Catt Sadler called Cooke Maroney “the greatest human being” she’s ever met and said: “I just met Cooke and I wanted to marry him. We wanted to marry each other. We wanted to commit fully and you know, he’s my best friend. I feel very honoured to become a Maroney.”

Lawrence, a highly acclaimed artist, was last seen in 2019’s Dark Phoenix, a prequel spin-off in the X-Men film franchise in which she reprised her role of the mutant Raven Darkholme aka Mystique.

Cooke Maroney, on the other hand, is a New-York based art gallerist. He currently serves as the director of New York City’s Gladstone Gallery, which boasts a list of high-profile clients. Lawrence and Maroney were reportedly introduced to each other by the actress’s best friend, Laura Simpson.
