The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) revealed their longlist for the 2021 British Academy Awards which featured Priyanka Chopra Jonas in the category of ‘Best Supporting Actress’ for her latest flick “The White Tiger”. The movie was released on Netflix in late-January and has since then been widely appreciated by the audience.
“The White Tiger”, which also features Adarsh Gaurav who plays the ambitious Indian driver, was enlisted under numerous categories like ‘Best Film’, ‘Best Director’, ‘Adapted Screenplay’, ‘Best Cinematography’ and ‘Best Editing’.

Priyanka Chopra’s portrayal of ‘Pinky’ in the film has fetched her compliments from former co-stars like Hrithik Roshan who wrote on Twitter, “Take a bow” for the film’s star cast. American celebrities Kerry Washington and Cardi B also appreciated the Netflix special on their social media handles.
Out of the 15 performances which secured their place on the BAFTA longlist for the ‘Best Supporting Actress’ category, only six will be nominated for the final awards. Other performances enlisted by BAFTA include Olivia Colman in “The Father”, Jodie Foster in “The Mauritanian” and Kosar Ali in “Rocks”.

Round two voting, to determine the nominations in the member-voted categories, opens on February 19, followed by the final nomination announcement on March 9, 2021.
White Tiger currently has an IMDb rating of 7.2 out of 10.
