Shortly after American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift released a rendition of her 2008 popular song ‘Love Story’ from her latest album on Friday, social media exploded with excitement and ‘TaylorsVersion’ became the number one trending hashtag on Twitter. Now, her long time friend and fellow singer Selena Gomez has shared some kind words in a social media post and congratulated Taylor for her already hit album.
“SO proud of you, as always Tay…LISTEN to THIS album,” Selena wrote in her Instagram story. Take a look:
According to media reports, the ladies became friends in 2008, around the time when Taylor’s music album ‘Fearless’ was taking off.
Taylor’s latest album is titled ‘Fearless (Taylor’s Version)’, which contains 26 songs. The first song that she unveiled on Friday is ‘Love Story (Taylor’s Version)’. The lyrical music video doesn’t have a traditional music clip to accompany the song, but a lot of memories from Taylor’s life, including her time spent with fans, and some behind the scenes footage.

Before sharing the much-awaited song with her fans, she penned a heartfelt note on Instagram.
“I’ve decided I want you to have the whole story, see the entire vivid picture, and let you into the entire dreamscape that is my ‘Fearless’ album,” she said.
Taylor, who has been writing songs since the age of 15, doesn’t have complete rights over her albums as all her artwork was released under music labels. She is now reclaiming her work.
