Lalit Modi on social media announced that he and former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen are in a relationship. The IPL founder called the 46-year-old actor his ‘better partner half’ but clarified that they are not married yet.

“Just back in London after a whirling global tour #maldives # sardinia with the families – not to mention my #better looking partner @sushmitasen47 – a new beginning a new life finally. Over the moon (sic),” Lalit Modi tweeted.

“Just for clarity. Not married – just dating each other. That too it will happen one day,” he exclaimed. 

Modi has been living since 2010 after he was investigated for tax evasion and money-laundering. 

Sen won the 1994 Miss Universe title when she was 19 years old. She made her Bollywood debut in 1996 and has starred in several hits like ‘Biwi No 1’, ‘Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya’, ‘Main Hoon Na’ and ‘No Problem’. The 46-year-old has two daughters – Alisah and Renee and was last seen in Voot’s web series Aarya 2.

Sushmita Sen has dated several men over the years. Here is her relationship timeline:

Vikram Bhatt: Sen started seeing Bhatt while they were filming for Dastak in 1996. The director-writer was married at the time. The two parted ways soon. 

Vikram Bhatt, years after the relationship, admitted that he had regretted leaving his wife and daughter. “I regret hurting my wife and my child and abandoning them. I regret the pain I caused them. I always believe that when you’re not courageous, you become cunning. I did not have the courage to tell Aditi how I felt. And it was all happening together, it was a big mess. I regret being weak at that time. Had I not been weak, things would have been different today. But when I look back in hindsight, it’s all about growing up, and everything teaches you something at least,” he told Hindustan Times.

Randeep Hooda: The ‘Sarabjit’ actor was in a relationship with Sushmita Sen for three years. When asked about their breakup, Hooda said that it was the best thing that had happened to him. 

“The biggest part of my relationship with her over three years was my relationship with her daughter, Renee. I missed only one theatre rehearsal in my life as Sushmita wanted me to not go and that is the worst thing I did in terms of my value system. I was exposed to fame although I was on the sidelines as I was not a star. The break-up was the best thing that happened to me and I realised that I gave it too much time in my life,” he told Times of India. 

Bunty Sachdev: The head of Cornerstone, a talent management company, Sachdev was linked to Sushmita Sen when he was her manager.

Imtiyaz Khatri: A 36-year-old Sen was linked to a 22-year-old businessman Imtiyaz Khatri. However, the two never spoke about their relationship. 

Mudassar Aziz: The director of ‘Dulha Mil Gaya’, a film that starred Sushmita Sen, Aziz reportedly dates the actor for some time. 

Talking about their relationship, Mudassar Aziz told DNA: “She is a lovely person and I adore and respect her for the decisions she has taken in her life. She has lived life on her own terms. Not many can do that. Apart from this, I have the highest professional regard for her. I have been a fan of her films.”

Sabeer Bhatia: The founder of Hotmail was linked to Sen and as per reports, she called it off. 

Sanjay Narang: Hotelier Narang reportedly had a brief affair with Sen. 

“When ‘He’ tells you the most beautiful things and REALLY means them!!!! Being in love is one thing, BEING love is everything,” Sushmita had said in an Instagram post. 

Ritik Bhasin: As per reports, Sen and Bhasin were steady for years. They were seen together at Zaheer Khan and Sagarika Ghatge’s wedding reception. 

Rohman Shawl: The Noida-based model was 15 years younger to Sushmita Sen. Talking to Rajeev Masand, Sen said that Rohman had sent her a DM which she had accidentally opened and had found an extreme amount of truth in his words. However, they parted ways soon.
