Singer and actor Traci Braxton has died of cancer at the age of 50.

Speaking to TMZ, her husband Kevin Surratt, confirmed the news saying, “We have come to a time where we must inform the public that after a year of privately undergoing a series of treatment for Esophageal cancer our beloved Traci Braxton has gone on to glory.”

Kevin Surratt is an actor, who is best known for Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars (2014) and Great Day Washington (2015). The two tied the knot in1996 and have a son named Kevin Surratt Jr.

Kevin Surratt Jr. took to Instagram to pay tribute to his mother. 

“When I heard the news about my mother being sick first thing she said was I’m going to fight and beat this. She fought to the end and today she’s at peace,” he wrote, along with a photo of him hugging his mother.

“I love my mother forever and this hurts so much but I’m at peace knowing she’s isn’t in pain anymore. I love you ma I’m going to miss you,” he added.

Traci’s mother and sisters were reportedly by her side when she died.

Traci has four sisters – Trina Braxton, Towanda Braxton, Toni Braxton and Tamar Braxton.

They have appeared on the family’s reality show, “Braxton Family Values.”

According to Celebrity net worth, Traci Braxton has a net worth of $800,000.

Following Traci’s death, several of her fans to social media to offer condolences.

“Losing Traci Braxton feels like losing an auntie. We love that family yall, and I thank Traci and the Braxtons for being so raw and selfless with her precious family time for us as black people to feel seen, heard and understood through their show. Prayers to The Braxtons,” another person tweeted.
