Who is Lindy Heymann?

Lindy Heymann is a British director and assistant director, known for Showboy (2002), The Laughing King (2016), and Kicks (2009).

Not much is known about her personal life. According to her website, Heymann studied at Central St Martins. After graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art Film she went on to pursue a prolific career directing music videos.

Heymann most recently worked on Harlan Coben’s Stay Close on Netflix, which stars Cush Jumbo, James Nesbit, Richard Armitage, Sarah Parrish, Youssuf Kerkour, and Eddie Izzard.

“I thrive on being the outsider looking in – I am interested in stories that reflect an individual trying to make their own sense of the world,” says a quote by Heymann on her website. “My way in is a great character, a distinctive voice or a unique point of view that engages, excites or touches me. I delight in the cinematic journey, the collaboration between those in front and behind the camera and the process of bringing that vision to life.”

She received a BIFA for Best Directorial Debut for her feature film debut Showboy (2002). Also, a live concert DVD for The Specials that she had worked on, was nominated for a UK Music Video Award.

On August 2019 it was announced that she would be directing a biopic on Richey Edwards from Manic Street Preachers titled 4real.

There is no information on her relationship with Hall.
