Matthew Manhard, American media personality Khloe Kardashian’s former household assistant, has sued the 38-year-old for unpaid wages, TMZ reported, citing a lawsuit obtained by them. He claims that he was fired after he suffered a knee injury.
TMZ, citing the lawsuit, reported that Manhard worked for Khloe from January 2019 until November 2022. He, as per the report, has said that she fired him when he was trying to return to work from a knee injury. However, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star’s legal representative has refuted the accusations.
“It’s unfortunate to learn that a former employee would choose to go this route. Matthew was properly classified and compensated for his role,” the legal rep said, as per TMZ.
Manhard, in the suit, adds that he injured his knee in May. After trying to come back to work in November, he was canned. Commenting on the former household assistant’s leave, Khloe’s legal spokesperson told TMZ, “Toward the end of his employment, he was on a leave of absence for an extended period of time and the role eventually needed to be replaced. We will not tolerate false accusations and will prove that this is a frivolous lawsuit.”
Manhard says that he could not take his legally required breaks while working for Khloe and she did not pay him overtime even after 12-hour days.
