Minal Aswani was born in Nigeria, Africa on September 9, 1954. At the time of her passing, she was 64 years old. She first got married to Jack Sagrani, a highly successful businessman who had previously worked in Nigeria, London, and Saudi Arabia.

Sagrani’s name appeared in a scam while she was carrying his kid, for which he was imprisoned in Saudi Arabia for seven months. Additionally, he was denied permission to see his wife, even after she gave birth to their daughter Karima in London.
Minal moved to Delhi after divorcing Sagrani and spent a few years living in the Gulf. She frequently stayed at her friend Bina Modi’s (Lalit Modi’s mother) home in A-1, Maharani Bagh.

Lalit and Minal first declared their love for one another at this point, and they also said they wanted to get married. The Modis have never seen such a hubbub after a couple has publicly declared their love for one another. Bina Modi was disappointed by the couple’s marriage because Lalit was nine years Minal’s junior. Lalit and Minal were wed on October 17, 1991, finally ending the drama and Modi outbursts.
The son of Monica and Vivek Burman of the Dabur group, Gaurav, is married to Karima, the daughter of Minal and Jack Sagrani.
On December 10th, 2018, Minal passed away from cancer at the age of 64. Expressing grief and sorrow, her then husband Lalit Modi had tweeted, “You are finally at peace and I am sure you will be watching over us. You have been my life and my journey.” He still wishes her birthday on social media.

Recently, Lalit Modi announced that he and former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen have started dating. He tweeted,”
Just back in london after a whirling global tour #maldives #sardinia with the families – not to mention my #betterhalf @sushmitasen47 – a new beginning a new life finally. Over the moon.” He also announced that he intends to tie the knot with her soon.
