With a 33-point game, Stephen Curry led Golden State Warriors to a 105-90 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday, extending their winning streak to eight. While Curry chipped in with a 13-point fourth quarter, Otto Porter Jr. added 18 points, and Jordan Poole had 17 points.
They improved their NBA-best record to 18-2 heading into a showdown Tuesday night in Phoenix against the streaking Suns — 17-3 after winning 16 straight.

Los Angeles was led by Paul George, who scored 30 points, and Eric Bledsoe and Marcus Morris each had 13 points. The Clippers had won eight of their previous ten home games before the matchup. The Warriors have a perfect away record of 7-0.
The Clippers fought hard against the Warriors in a 115-113 loss in the season’s first week, but they couldn’t keep up this time in the second half.
Golden State led 44-42 at halftime before going on an 11-2 rally to start the third quarter. During the outburst, Curry scored seven points and Draymond Green added four as the Warriors seized a 55-44 lead four minutes into the second half.

The Clippers methodically chipped away at the lead, cutting it to 60-59 with 2:50 left on Terance Mann’s free throws. Golden State, on the other hand, took command with a 26-9 run that lasted eight minutes late in the third quarter and most of the fourth.
With 5:20 remaining, Curry hit the dagger shot, an off-balance 3-pointer from the right corner.

The Warriors also set a season-high with 19 steals, including six by Curry himself. The Golden State have now gone over the century mark in points in all of its games.
Meanwhile, more positive news is coming the Warriors way as Klay Thompson and James Wiseman have been assigned to Santa Cruz of the G-League and are beginning to work their way back.
