Exuding confidence that the Bharatiya Janata Party is going most of the seats in West Bengal, including the high-profile Nandigram constituency, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday said that CM Mamata Banerjee is running the TMC government in the state on the 3T model of ‘Tolabaji, Tanashahi, and Tushtikaran’ (Extortion, Dictatorship and appeasement).

Taking a dig at Mamata, Shah said that BJP will win over 50 out of 60 seats in West Bengal, and added, “Didi, aapke jaane ka samay ab aa chuka hai. [Didi, your time to leave has now arrived].”

The Union Home Minister said that BJP’s Suvendu Adikhari, who was up against the West Bengal CM from Nandigram constituency, will win the constituency and Mamata will lose from the seat in Purba Medinipur district.

Shah further said that people living in the north Bengal region faced injustice at the hands of the Mamata-led TMC government, as he added that identifying cross-border infiltration as the biggest problem. He promised to completely stop the illegal immigration from Bangladesh if BJP is voted to power in West Bengal.

“We are winning in the first two phases of elections (held on March 27 and April 1). Mamata didi is losing in Nandigram,” Shah said.

The constituencies in the Coochbehar district will go to polls in the fourth phase on April 10. Results of all the 294 assembly seats will be declared on May 2.
