Amitabh
Bachchan, who is being treated for COVID-19 at Mumbai’s Nanavati Hospital, has
taken to Twitter to thank fans. He revealed that he has been deriving strength
from their love and wishes.

He wrote, “T
3600 – In these times of trial .. the entire day is filled with your love and
care .. and I can only express what best I can from here .. my immense gratitude.”

Later in the day, the ‘Gulabo Sitabo’ actor also posted a picture on Instagram and captioned it, “Dhanyawad (Thank You)… is all that I can muster .. for now.” 

Earlier, Big B also
expressed his gratitude towards the health workers. He wrote a few lines from a
poem written by his father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan. “Words from Babuji ..
for them that work tirelessly, relentlessly , unselfishly to keep us
protected”, the caption of the post with two sketches – one of a health
worker holding a rose, and the other of Amitabh himself.

Amitabh and
his family – son Abhishek Bachchan, daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and
granddaughter Aaradhya Bachchan are currently being treated for Covid-19. While
Amitabh and Abhishek have been hospitalised since July 11, Aishwarya and
Aaradhya were admitted on Friday, after initially being asked to be under home
quarantine. Jaya Bachchan has tested negative for the virus.

The Bachchans’ bungalows – Janak, Jalsa,
Pratiksha, and Vatsa were also sanitised by the Brihanmumbai Municipal
Corporation and declared containment zones. All their staffers tested negative
for the virus.
