There are media reports that Indian wrestler Sushil Kumar, two-time Olympic medallist, has been arrested in Punjab on Saturday evening in connection with the murder of former wrestler Sagar Dhankar. The 37-year-old has been on the run for the last two weeks.
Opoyi does not have confirmation of the arrest.

Timesofiindia.com reported that the Delhi Police arrested Sushil Kumar. “Kumar has been arrested near Jalandhar. His associate Ajay Kumar, accused in the case, has also been arrested,” the news website said quoting an IANS source. IANS (EXPAND) is a news agency.
Hindi newspaper Dainik Jagran reported that the Punjab police has taken Kumar into custody and will hand him over to Delhi Police.

However, several journalists following the case tweeted that they had no confirmation of an arrest.
“Is everyone 100 percent sure that Sushil Kumar has been arrested? Because I am not,” Rahul Rawat, an India Today correspondent said.
Sushil Kumar was present when a former junior national champion Sagar Dhankad was beaten to death at New Delhi’s Chhatrasal Stadium in a clash between rival wrestlers.
Earlier this week, Delhi Police had also announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh to anyone with information on the wrestler.
Sushil Kumar had won the bronze medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and the silver at the 2012 London Olympic Games in 66 kg category.
