%3Ci%3E%3Cstrong%3EChina%u2019s%20military%20capabilities%20and%20transformation%20have%20occupied%20a%20larger%20informational%20hype%20than%20reality.%20%3C/strong%3E%3C/i%3EThe%20Hans%20dominated%20and%20highly%20politicised%20PLA%20has%20several%20limitations%20in%20man%2C%20machine%20and%20leadership%20to%20dictate%20decisions%20both%20in%20the%20regional%20and%20global%20arena.%20It%20is%20estimated%20that%20it%20is%20a%20decade%20away%20to%20contest%20the%20global%20arena%20and%20insufficient%20to%20seek%20a%20decisive%20outcome%20at%20the%20regional%20level.%20%3Ci%3E%3Cstrong%3EHowever%2C%20the%20numerous%20weaknesses%20of%20its%20military%20establishment%20notwithstanding%2C%20China%20is%20a%20rising%20power%20that%20could%20create%20future%20imbalances%20in%20the%20global%20stability.%3C/strong%3E%3C/i%3E%20Thus%20the%20time%20is%20ripe%20for%20enacting%20a%20collaborative%20and%20comprehensive%20multinational%20defence%20strategy%20to%20stymie%20its%20dangerous%20growth%20trajectory%20and%20unambiguously%20send%20the%20strategic%20message%20of%20the%20limits%20of%20its%20military%20power%20calculus.
