Night temperatures in Rajasthan rose as the cold wave eased on Wednesday, December 22.
The coldest place was Fatehpur in Sikar which recorded a temperature of 2.6 degrees celsius, followed by Karauli with a temperature of 3.3 degrees the night before.

Churu, Sikar, Chittorgarh and Sangariya in Hanumangarh recorded a minimum of 3.5, 4.7, 5.2 and 5.3 degrees Celsius, respectively. The night temperature at other places in the state was above six degrees Celsius, the weather department informed.
Weather conditions will remain the same during the next 24 hours, the weather department has said.
Cold conditions have also abated in parts of Punjab, Haryana, and Madhya Pradesh, and are expected to go through a similar trend in Northwest and Central India.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in its morning bulletin on Wednesday, “Gradual rise in minimum temperatures by 3-5 degree Celsius is very likely over most parts of Northwest and Central India during next three days and no significant change thereafter. No significant change in minimum temperatures over most parts of East India during the next two days and a rise by 2-3 degrees Celsius thereafter.”
According to an ANI report, the weather forecast for certain parts of Punjab, Haryana, and West Rajasthan warns of dense fog from December 24-26.
The IMD has also added, “Cold Wave conditions in isolated pockets very likely over Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Odisha during next 24 hours and abatement thereafter.”
