Union Home Minister Amit Shah, while speaking in Hyderabad ahead of municipal corporation elections, said that he never called the farmers’ protest “politically motivated,” neither he is calling it now, ANI reports.
His remarks come amid the widespread protests by thousands of farmers, who are protesting against the three agricultural laws enacted by the central government in September, around the national capital, as a part of the ‘Delhi Chalo’ agitation. The farmers started the ‘Delhi Chalo’ march on Thursday.
In Hyderabad, Shah said his party will free the city from the ‘Nizam culture’ and work towards constructing a modern and new city flush with democratic principles. “We will take it away from dynastic politics without doing any appeasement,” the Home Minister said, quoted news agency ANI.
The Home Minister also responded to AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi’s remark on illegal Rohingya immigrants in India saying, “When I take action then they create ruckus in Parliament. Tell them to give in writing that Bangladeshis and Rohingyas have to be evicted… who takes their side in Parliament?” reports ANI.
