Prime Minister Narendra Modi has delivered a warning to Members of Parliament about the issue of absenteeism in the House, urging them to “transform themselves.” According to sources, the prime minister made the comments at a BJP parliamentary party gathering at the Ambedkar International Centre in New Delhi.
“Change yourself or there’ll be changes,” Prime Minister Modi stated. On the problem of attendance, the prime minister said party MPs should regularly attend Parliament proceedings and remarked that when children have discovered a problem again and again, even they do not repeat it.
He said, “Do Surya Namaskar and join in this [attendance] competition; it will keep everyone healthy.”
