Niantic, the Pokemon GO developer has announced the upcoming events in August. This event includes a new Research Breakthrough encounter. Research Breakthrough provide many distinctive rewards for completing tasks. Trainers need to complete seven tasks to claim reward.

Research Breakthrough Encounter

Niantic is refreshing Pokemon Go’s Field Research tasks and rewards starting August 1, including a new Research Breakthrough encounter. In 2018, Pokemon Go Field Research was added to the Pokemon GO game, introducing new Pokemon Go tasks for players to achieve. As a part of Research Breakthroughs, finishing Pokemon Field Research tasks provides distinctive rewards. And you will uncover unseen Pokemon by completing Special Research tasks.

Chimecho will appear in Research Breakthrough Encounters from Sunday, August 1, 2021, at 1 p.m. to Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at 1 p.m.

As part of the Season of Discovery, double XP for Research Breakthroughs will be available throughout this month.

1 Pokecoin Bundles every week

Every Monday, in August, there will be a one-time purchase bundle including a Remote Raid Pass and other items in the shop.

Once August 1 arrives, Pokemon GO players need to keep an eye out for a significant rotation of the available daily tasks. Look out for the new list early in the upcoming month. Trainers can take tasks by heading out and visiting Pokestops around their community right away to complete their final July Breakthrough or build up some stamps for an early start towards August’s initial reward.

How to earn rewards

Trainers need to earn stamp by completing seven regular tasks in the game to claim a Research Breakthrough Encounter. Players do need need to keep up a daily streak and you can earn only one stamp per day.  Earning a stamp a day leads to the most Research Breakthroughs possible in any given month. It is important to keep in mind that if trainers wish to avoid a late July Breakthrough Reward, they are able to store up some Stamps.
