Jaishankar paid a condolence visit to the British High Commission in New Delhi. On September 11, India also commemorated a day of national grief.

The Queen will be laid to rest in state at Westminster Abbey on September 19 at 11:00 BST. The day has been declared a bank holiday in the UK.
The Queen was proclaimed as ruler of Britain in 1953, and she wed Prince Philip there in 1947. There hasn’t been a royal funeral ceremony in the Abbey, a revered historical church since the 18th century, despite the fact that the Queen’s mother’s funeral was held there in 2002.
